ParkLast Privacy Policy
ParkLast saves where you parked, on your phone. Your parking locations, cars and app history stay on your phone; we do not run a server that receives them.
In short
- Your parking locations, cars and event log are stored only on your phone, in ParkLast’s private storage.
- Location is read only when your phone disconnects from a car you chose (or when you tap a “save” notification). No tracking while driving, no route history.
- No ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting services, no advertising ID, no account.
- Subscriptions are paid through Google Play. RevenueCat verifies purchases; it never receives your location, cars or log.
1. What ParkLast does
When your phone disconnects from the Bluetooth system of a car you selected, ParkLast saves the car’s location automatically, so you can walk back to it later with a maps app.
2. Data stored on your phone
All of the following is kept in ParkLast’s private app storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read it. It is excluded from Google cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer, so it does not move to a new phone.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Parking location of each car: latitude and longitude, accuracy, time, and whether it is approximate | Showing where you parked and navigating there |
| Your cars: the name you gave, the Bluetooth device name and Bluetooth address | Recognising which car the phone connected to and disconnected from |
| Detection state: which car is connected now and when the last parking was saved | Avoiding duplicate or wrong saves |
| Event log: up to the last 300 events (connections, disconnections, location requests, whether a save worked, accuracy, timing, car names). It contains no coordinates. If a device with the same name as one of your cars connects, its Bluetooth address may be noted. | Showing you what happened, and troubleshooting |
| Settings and confirmations: automatic saving on or off, language, setup progress, and when you confirmed the location-accuracy notice | Running the app |
| Subscription status: whether it is active, its end date, whether it renews, and when it was last checked | Letting automatic saving work offline until the subscription ends |
| Notification housekeeping: when the last “subscription inactive” notice was shown, and a one-time code for the current “tap to save” notification | Not repeating notices, and accepting only our own “save” notification |
3. Location
- When. Only when your phone disconnects from one of your selected cars, or when you tap a “save now” notification within a few minutes of parking.
- In the background. If you allow location access “all the time”, ParkLast collects location data to save your parking spot even when the app is closed or not in use.
- How. ParkLast asks Google Play services on your phone for a fresh, precise location, takes further readings for up to about 9 seconds to improve a poor first reading, and may use the last location the phone already knew if it is no more than 3 minutes old.
- Not done. No tracking while driving, no route history, no sending your location to us.
- Google. Google Play services may process location data according to your phone’s “Google Location Accuracy” setting and Google’s privacy policy. ParkLast does not send your parking location to Google.
4. Bluetooth
- With the “Nearby devices” permission, ParkLast reads the list of devices already paired with your phone (name, Bluetooth address and device type) so you can pick your car. Only the cars you pick are stored.
- Android tells ParkLast when a paired device connects or disconnects; ParkLast also checks which paired device is connected when you open the app.
- ParkLast does not scan for new devices, does not connect to any device, and does not read data from your car.
5. Navigation and maps
When you tap “Navigate to car”, ParkLast passes the saved coordinates to Google Maps (or another maps app or your browser). This happens only when you tap. From then on, that app’s or service’s privacy policy applies. ParkLast does not look up addresses or places for your location.
6. Subscriptions and payments
- Google Play. Payment is handled by Google Play. We never receive your card details. Google may collect information about the purchase under the Google Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat. RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) verifies purchases for us as a service provider. It receives: a random app user ID created by the app (not your name or email), purchase details (product, Google Play purchase token, purchase history and subscription status), basic device and app information (operating system and app version, language, store country) and your IP address. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Block Store. After a purchase, the RevenueCat library may save that random app user ID in your Google account’s Block Store, so your purchase can be restored if you reinstall ParkLast.
- Never sent to RevenueCat: your location, cars, parking spots or event log. We do not add your name, email or other personal details to RevenueCat.
7. Sharing the event log
Settings → Event log has a “Share” button. It hands the log text to an app you choose, for example email, so you can send it to support. Nothing is sent unless you do this.
8. What ParkLast does not do
- No advertising and no use of the advertising ID.
- No analytics, no third-party crash reporting, no user account and no cloud sync.
- We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
9. Keeping and deleting data
- Data on your phone stays until you delete it.
- Event log: Settings → Event log → Clear.
- Removing a car removes the car from ParkLast. Its last saved parking location stays on the phone until you clear ParkLast’s storage or uninstall the app.
- Everything: Android Settings → Apps → ParkLast → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall ParkLast.
- Purchase data held by RevenueCat and Google Play is kept as their services and the law require. To ask us to request deletion of RevenueCat data, contact us (section 14).
10. International transfers
RevenueCat processes purchase data in the United States. Everything else ParkLast keeps stays on your phone.
11. Children
ParkLast is meant for drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Security
Data on your phone is kept in ParkLast’s private storage. Communication with Google Play and RevenueCat is encrypted (HTTPS).
13. Test versions
Versions given to testers before release may contain developer tools that keep extra technical measurements on the phone. They are not sent anywhere unless the tester chooses to share them.
14. Your rights and contact
You control the data on your phone (section 9). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to complain to a data-protection authority. For any privacy question or request:
