ParkLast Support
Help with setting up ParkLast and answers to common questions.
Requirements
- An Android phone with Android 8.0 or later and Google Play services.
- A car with a Bluetooth system that is paired with the phone.
- Permissions: Nearby devices, precise location, and location “Allow all the time”.
- An active ParkLast subscription for automatic saving.
Setting up
- Pair the phone with the car in Android’s Bluetooth settings, if you haven’t already.
- Open ParkLast and follow the setup steps. Allow Nearby devices and precise location.
- Choose your car’s Bluetooth system from the list. Possible car systems are listed first; you can choose more than one.
- When asked, set location to Allow all the time. This lets ParkLast save your parking spot when the app is closed.
Common questions
The parking spot was not saved
- Open ParkLast. If something is missing, the home screen says what and how to fix it.
- Check that Bluetooth and location services are on, and that location access is “Allow all the time”.
- If battery use for ParkLast is “Restricted”, Android may stop it in the background. “Optimized” is fine on most phones.
- Without an active subscription, ParkLast does not save automatically and shows a notification.
- Settings → Event log shows what ParkLast detected and when.
The location is approximate, or wrong in a car park
Inside buildings and underground car parks the phone may receive only weak location signals, so the saved spot can be approximate. ParkLast does not detect the parking level. If no usable location is available, ParkLast may offer a “tap to save” notification you can use once you are outside, near the car.
Google Maps shows the name of a nearby business
ParkLast sends Google Maps the exact saved coordinates. The destination name is chosen by Google Maps; the route still leads to the saved point.
Can I use more than one car?
Yes. Add each car in Settings → My cars. ParkLast keeps the last parking spot of each car.
Subscription: manage, cancel, restore
- Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- After reinstalling or on a new phone with the same Google account, use Settings → Premium → Restore purchases.
- Refunds are requested through Google Play.
Deleting my data
Settings → Event log → Clear removes the log. To remove everything, use Android Settings → Apps → ParkLast → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall ParkLast. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
